Within our industry a huge challenge that we face is how to make sustainably made products more available and affordable to our customers.
Workwear Pro Direct were recently delighted to work with Bobby & Co in Bournemouth. Our brief was to supply them with branded uniforms from some of our favourite eco-conscious products.
For the Bobby’s team, sustainability isn’t just a fad, they aspire for it to be core to their everyday activities.
Knowing how important it was to provide Bobby’s with high quality, sustainable and ethical uniform, we found the perfect colour matches with our loved and trusted brands - Continental Clothing and Stanley/Stella.
The Beauty Hall teams slate green uniform is part of our Continental Clothing ‘Earthpositive’ collection. It is produced exclusively from organic Indian cotton, and the entire production process is controlled and certified in accordance with the latest version of Global Organic Standards. All Earth positive products are also manufactured using facilities powered by renewable energy.
The Ice Cream Parlour’s uniform is part of our Natural Raw collection meaning it is completely free from dyes. If you look closely, you can see that each garment reflects the true colour of the cotton plant itself, showing tiny specks of the original plant, including seed particles! This additional texture really appealed to the Bobby’s team and only added to the appearance and authenticity of their uniforms.
By using Stanley/Stella’s Natural Raw products this also minimizes the environmental impact. A gentler spinning process consumes less energy than traditional spinning and preserves the flecks of the original cotton plant. With no dyes involved, fewer chemicals, water and energy are used.
Both teams uniform used for the Ice Cream Parlour and Beauty Hall also comply with Fair Wear Foundation code of labour practices.
